Oprah Winfrey attended Katherine Schwarzenegger’s bridal shower over the weekend, where she got to witness Chris Pratt give the sweetest speech to his fiancé.
Katherine’s mother, Maria Shriver, threw the lovely bash in honor of her daughter’s upcoming nuptials. Oprah was undoubtedly the most prominent celebrity there because the bride wanted it to be an intimate affair.
Only close family and friends were in attendance. Model Abby Champion and The Hills: New Beginnings star Whitney Port both made the cut. The latter was surprising. Who knew the reality TV star and Schwarzenegger were such good friends?

Shriver and Oprah have been close friends for decades. The two ladies met back in the late 1970s when they both worked at the same Baltimore television station. They even lived in the same apartment complex during the time.
Oprah has been confident to Shriver over the years. There is so much trust between the women that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife even spoke candidly about their divorce on Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Although the shower was primarily ladies only, Pratt and his soon to be father-in-law Schwarzenegger showed up toward the end of the party. The Jurassic World star wanted to help celebrate his lady love’s day with a special toast to her.
“Katherine lit up when Chris arrived. He also gave a sweet toast. They were adorable together, and he wanted her to have all the attention,” an unnamed source, who attended the shower shared with People magazine.

The happy couple was first spotted together last summer. Months later Pratt popped the question, and the two are reportedly set to wed this summer. They made their first official red-carpet debut this past week at the premiere of Avengers Endgame, where she was on hand to support her man.
