Jessica Simpson revealed a lot of details about her and Nick Lachey’s marriage and separation in her new memoir, Open Book, but after all of these years, how does she feel about him now? Here’ is what she had to say in a new interview!
During a sit-down with Glamour magazine, Jessica discussed her tell-all book and revealed, among many other things, that she has a lot of love for her former husband.
The two experienced a lot of problems, all detailed in her memoir but the celeb made it clear that she’s over all that and that she really cares about Nick.
‘I still have a lot of love for him, because he taught me how to be. I tried to handle everything [in the memoir] with as much care as possible. He has a family, he is married…It is really the marriage through my lens,’ Jessica shared with the news outlet.
The two were married from 2002 to 2006 and even had a reality TV show together titled Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.
However, it turns out that their project together pretty much ruined reality TV as a whole for her.
‘I know things are all set up and everything is so positioned…toward the end I knew which parts were going to make it to air, and so I’d just go through the motions and just do it, just so it could be over because it was a really hard time in our marriage,’ she explained.
This comes after Nick admitted via Us Weekly that he wasn’t sent the book before publishing and that he has ‘not read a single word,’ even though a pretty large portion of it is about him.

‘Both of us [he and his wife Vanessa] haven’t read the book, and no, she didn’t reach out before it was published,’ he made it clear.
